This year is flying by at mock speed!! The Chrome team was in Las Vegas for the 2009 Redken International Symposium and had an amazing 3 days of intense education. Each member of our team was able to add more inspriation, motivation, talent and skill to their tool belt. We hope to see you soon so we can tell you first hand of this amazing trip.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! Can you beleive January is halfway gone? Time flies when youre havin' fun and let me tell you, Team Chrome is havin' some fun!!

First of all we had our Team Chrome our Christmas party at Messina Hof Winery on January 3rd. We had a GREAT time tasting wine and having a Celebrity Murder Mystery Dinner. Talk about fun.........Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne and many more made an appearance at dinner. The best part of the evening was our awards ceremony. We have some amazing people on this team and they shined up this year.

This years RISING STAR is MELODY PATE.
Melody started with Team Chrome early last year and has exceeded the limits. She is a talented stylist with amazing education in her tool belt already. She is definatly more than deserving of this award.

This years PERSONAL GROWTH award went to MAEGAN TATE.
Maegan has grown so much personally and professionally. She sets goals for herself and surpasses them. Maegan is an amazing young woman and definaly one to watch for the RISING STAR next year.

This years STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE went to Cathy Mosley
I cant say enough about Cathy. She is AMZAING, OUTSTANDING, PERFECT, BEAUTIFUL, PROFFESSIONAL,.............AND THE LIST GOES ON. Without Cathys skills and her desires to ALWAYS be an example to others Team Chrome would not be what it is today. She is definatly SETTING THE STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE!!!!

This years PINK RIBBON AWARD went to Susan Yeater.
Susan is ALWAYS the person I want to be more like. She is always willing to help anyone, anytime. She loves her team, all of her guests, her family and especially GOD! She is light in anyones life she touches and she will always make you feel special. Team Chrome is truly thankful for Susans friendship and love.............we love you Susan!!!

To add more fun to the group...........we are all off to the REDKEN INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM IN LAS VEGAS!!!!!! 16 of leave on January 16, for 5 fun filled days in the city of lights. We will be attending classes with the best artist in the industry to perfect our skills. We will be very excited to get back and share with you what we have learned, so hurry and make your reservation with your favorite member of Team Chrome!!!!

SHEAR GENIOUS

We just had our FIRST ANNUAL SHEAR GENIOUS competition at CHROME! All of the Chrome stylist had to create their masterpeice of hair and were judged on artistic expression, execution, use of tools, make up and overall presentation. The judges were Christopher Lampo of Chritophers World Grille, Dr Malcolm Rude, Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, Tedi Ellison, Chairman, College Station Chamber of Commerce, Matt Bobbit, Global Events and Catering, Matt Ward, Edible Arrangements and Sherri Collins, Charles and Sues School of Hair Design. The winners are........


First Place, Karrie Vann "Funky Elegance"
Second Place, Kim Jones "Majestic Power"
Third Place, Gladys Aguilara " Beyond Control"

All of the Manniquins are on display at the salon, PLEASE come by and see them. You will be amazed at ALL of designs.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!! We know Team Chrome did. We had some great costumes and even better singing at our 1st Annual Halloween Bash.

Lots of GREAT things cominng up this month! First of all, we are having another hands-on design class in our salon. We will NEVER stop learning and growing in order to serve ALL of our guest better.

Next, we have Thanksgiving and there is no better time for us to show you how incredibly THANKFUL for you, OUR GUEST. We truly thank GOD for you!

This Thursday Oct 30th Team Chrome is having a PINK OUT to Celebtate the life of Ruth Ann Gardner. I never had the honor of meeting Ruth Ann but i had heard many uplifting stories. I can only imagine how strong of a woman Ruth Ann was during her fight with breast caner. Charlotte and Annette portray her best qualities. Ruth Ann was an amazing woman, mother, wife and friend. Ruth Ann would do anything for anyone anytime of day. Ruth Ann was the most sefless person you would have ever met. Starting Last Year at our Chrome Christmas parties we recieve awards. Our highest award given by Charlotte is the PINK RIBBON AWARD given in honor of Ruth Ann. The pink ribbon award is given to the person who goes above and beyond all year. On behalf of Charlotte and Team Chrome I invite you to wear pink on Thursday. Please take a moment for those who have lost the fight to breast cancer and the many survivors. Don't Forget to do your monthly self exams!!!!

WOW!! This month is FLYING by!!! We are loving the changing colors outside and the changing colors of hair. We are having lots of fun changing all the summer blondes to fall/winter brunettes and redheads! Let us know when you are ready.
